A learning platform with courses and certificates

This is KVai LMS. It is a learning platform we built.

After the last few years every coaching centre and training institute knows that online learning is here to stay. Students want to watch a class again. They want to learn on the phone while travelling. Parents want to know how the child is doing.

Many institutes started with video calls and WhatsApp groups. It worked for some time. But videos get lost in the group. Nobody knows who watched what. Tests and marks are in a different place.

A learning platform puts all of this in one place with the institute's own name.

Students can learn from a computer or from the mobile app. The teacher can see who is learning and who is stuck.

What is inside

1. Course catalogue with search. Students find the right course by subject and level.
2. Video lessons. Lessons are in order. The student knows what comes next.
3. Progress tracking. The student and the teacher both see how much is done.
4. Certificates students can share. A certificate at the end gives the student a reason to finish.

Mistakes institutes make

• Uploading two hour videos. Short lessons are watched more
• Giving no test after a chapter
• Making the student log in again and again
• Forgetting students who have slow internet

An institute's own platform has one more benefit. The students and the content stay with the institute. When you use a free video site your students see other channels also.

On your own platform they see only your courses.

What to do in the next 7 days

• Day 1: List the courses you teach and the chapters in each one.
• Day 2: Record one short lesson of 10 minutes and show it to five students.
• Day 3: Decide what test comes after each chapter.
• Day 4 to 7: Ask your students if they would use an app and what they want in it.
